The National Luna Intelligent 12V Split Charger Relay allows you to safely connect a secondary battery, like a house battery, in your vehicle. This enables you to power appliances such as coolers, lighting, or other accessories without draining your starter battery. The system manages charging automatically and protects both batteries.
This Split Charger Relay is a robust dual battery isolator designed for 12V systems. With advanced voltage detection and a built-in timer, it automatically controls the charge between the main and auxiliary batteries. After starting the engine, the main battery is given a recovery period of 5 minutes before the auxiliary battery is switched in parallel. When the engine stops, the solenoid disconnects the auxiliary battery at 12.7V to protect the starter battery.
Built-in safety features include protection against reverse polarity, flat or missing auxiliary batteries, and voltage drops under load. With a continuous current capacity of 85A and a very low standby consumption of just 19mA, the Intelligent Solenoid delivers reliable performance for 4x4 vehicles, RVs, commercial vehicles, and off-grid systems.
