The Xtreme tracks are manufactured in Australia using MaxTrax's secret formula; engineered for heavy-duty use, super strong, high-tech reinforced nylon. The manufacturing process involves a custom mold attached to a robotic arm, precisely positioning the alloy teeth. This ensures a secure fit as the nylon bonds tightly to each tooth's thread. All 88 teeth are hard-anodized for protection against saltwater and muddy environments.
The alloy is significantly harder and more durable than the rubber compound in tires and better resists wear from spinning wheels, ensuring quicker and safer engagement with the tire tread. The tracks are easily repairable on the go. If a tooth gets damaged, simply flip the board and use a T-50 Torx bit to remove and replace the tooth. MaxTrax uses a patented thread and blip-lock system ensuring the new tooth stays securely in place. A special toolset is available optionally.
