The Tailgate Storage Mod requires self-installation, which involves trimming some metal from your tailgate. To guide you through the process, we provide step-by-step instructions and a template indicating the material that needs removal. This can be accomplished using a metal shear, jigsaw, or angle grinder.
The standard kit comes in a black powder-coated finish and includes all necessary components for installation. Additionally, sound-dampening foam is provided to prevent noise and damage inside your tailgate.
An optional Lid Protector made from robust polycarbonate, the same material used for cutting boards, is highly recommended. This protector is ideal if you frequently load heavy objects, stand on your tailgate, or use it as a cooking surface.
